Prism Desktop 0.5.36: a merged inbox and a long fix pass

This version shipped on 23 September 2026. These notes were written up on 27 September 2026.

Prism Desktop 0.5.36 brings one inbox for everything that needs you, and a long list of reliability fixes found by a deliberate bug hunt.

What changed

  • One Inbox. Mail and meetings now sit in one Inbox with Email and Meetings filters, and one search covers them.
  • Agents. Agents check that the events they act on are genuine, stop retrying when a model is missing or a sign-in has failed, and show the reason on their card when they stop. Two desktops on one profile no longer start duplicate agents.
  • Staying connected. A Reconnect button replaces a state that could leave the app disconnected after a small clock difference, and reconnecting no longer loses messages.
  • Mail. A message that was never sent now counts as failed instead of waiting forever.
  • Huddles. Push-to-talk works as expected.
  • Smaller fixes. Dozens of smaller fixes to mentions, the timeline, idle CPU use and the tray.

Why it matters

Tests run against stand-ins, and many of these faults only appeared in the running app. Each one fixed here was found by checking the real thing. Early access to Prism Desktop is through the waitlist.
