· 1 min read

This version shipped on 25 September 2026. These notes were written up on 27 September 2026.

Prism Desktop 0.5.47 rebuilds mail as a three-pane client and makes it sync by itself.

What changed

  • Three panes. Folders, the message list and the message side by side, in the layout most mail readers use.
  • Sync by itself. Mail and calendar sync right after you connect and then every ten minutes, backing off when the provider is busy. Before, sync only ran when you pressed a button.
  • Clear sign-in messages. When a provider refuses to renew access, the app asks you to reconnect instead of showing a general error.

Why it matters

Mail that only updates when you remember to press a button is not mail anyone will use. Early access to Prism Desktop is through the waitlist.
